Chris Pine is an American actor. He is known for his work in Star Trek, Wonder Woman, and other films. He was born in California, on August 26, 1980. Chris Pine parents are Gwynne Gilford and Robert Pine. He has two sisters, Katherine and Elizabeth. Pine’s paternal grandfather was from a family of Russian Jewish immigrants, and his maternal grandmother was of Scottish descent. Pine was raised in the Hollywood Hills and attended the University of California, Berkeley.
Pine made his acting debut in an episode of ER in 2003. He went on to appear in small roles on The Guardian and CSI: Miami. In 2006, he had a role in the film Smokin’ Aces.
Pine’s breakout role came in 2009 when he played James T. Kirk in the film Star Trek. The film was a critical and commercial success. Pine reprised his role as Kirk in the 2013 sequel Star Trek Into Darkness.
In 2016, Pine starred alongside Gal Gadot in the superhero film Wonder Woman. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $821 million worldwide. Pine will reprise his role as Steve Trevor in the upcoming sequel Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).
